Ask where quantity becomes committed
For every item, list fabric construction, dye or print route, trim, label, packaging and carton. Ask the supplier where a minimum applies: yarn, greige fabric, dye lot, print run, sewing line, packaging print or finished SKU. Keep the answer project-specific. Design honest shared-material platforms
Concentrate volume without making products identical
A shared base fabric can support several sizes and selected colors if the weave, finish and timing are common. Coordinated labels may share a substrate while retaining SKU-specific print. Protect the collection hierarchy through color, texture, quilting or styling choices that do not fragment every upstream input. Approve the first range through material, color, size-set, packaging and pre-production gates. Do not add late variants after shared materials have been committed without a change review. Track sell-through, returns, size mix and replenishment need after launch, while recognizing that a short observation period may not represent long-term demand.
