A decorative ghost mobile differs from a flat garland because several suspended pieces share one support and occupy different positions in space. Drop length, connection order and packing can change the final arrangement as much as the ghost shapes themselves. For a seasonal interior display, specify the whole assembly and its intended installation context. This is not a nursery-mobile or toy brief. Do not imply suitability near children, a load rating or installation safety from an editorial photograph.

Draw the complete suspended assembly

A front photograph conceals the connection order

Identify the central support, upper suspension, each lower drop and every textile ghost. Assign each drop a position on a top-view drawing as well as a front view. Record the intended hanging condition and the points from which length is measured. Two cords described as the same length can produce different display heights if one measurement includes a knot, loop or the fabric head and the other does not.

Keep those conventions in the product specification pack. Ask whether the assembly is supplied complete or requires the buyer to connect individual pieces. State which support and fixing components are included. An installed sample should not depend on a hidden extra cord or borrowed ceiling fitting that is absent from the quotation. Agree the component inventory before comparing prices for apparently similar mobiles.

  • Use front and top views with numbered drops.
  • Define the measurement endpoints and included support parts.

Approve each drop as part of the group

Different heights should remain deliberate

Hang the complete proposed assembly in its intended orientation and compare the lowest points, eye directions and spacing. Check whether one ghost sits behind another from the main viewing angle. Rotate the display gently for observation where appropriate, without treating that observation as a performance test. If the design is intended to be viewed from several sides, approve those sides rather than accepting only the most favorable photograph.

The retail image approval process should retain a complete unretouched view. Distinguish a staged display pose from the way the supplied assembly naturally hangs. Decide whether the ghosts are interchangeable or tied to specific positions. If the lower pieces differ in size or construction, a position change may alter the arrangement even when the cord lengths remain unchanged.

  • Check the lowest fabric point and face direction for every ghost.
  • State whether individual pieces may exchange positions.

Record all textile-to-cord connections

The hidden attachment deserves its own view

Request a close view of the point where each cord connects to its textile piece, plus the connection at the shared support. Ask the maker to identify the proposed construction and any concealed component. Record the accepted assembly sequence rather than describing the result vaguely as securely attached. Required assessments should be chosen for the actual product, intended users and installation context by the responsible parties.

Use the seam and construction reference for the textile junction. Look for a consistent face orientation after assembly and verify that a correction does not pull the draped fabric into a different shape. Keep the ghost body, cord and support as linked specifications. Substituting a cord or loop after approval may change the visual drop or connection behavior and should trigger a targeted review.

  • Retain connection views at both ends of each drop.
  • Treat cord and attachment changes as controlled revisions.

Write a precise installation and use scope

Decorative does not remove the need for clear limits

Describe the intended display location, responsible installer and supplied hanging interface. Identify any fixing that must be selected for the actual building or fixture rather than supplied as part of the textile assembly. Avoid presenting a universal ceiling-installation solution when only a decorative mobile is being purchased. If the intended setting or customer group changes, revisit the applicable requirements before releasing the order.

Collect these questions with the buyer preparation resources. The product listing should not imply infant, toy or unattended child use merely because the textile figures look friendly. Keep cords and small components visible in the approval record rather than cropping them away. Ask for relevant documentation within its actual scope, and do not substitute a supplier's general company statement for evidence about the finished assembly.

  • Separate supplied hanging interface from building-specific fixing.
  • Keep the agreed decorative-use scope explicit in retail copy.

Pack the drops so the assembly can be understood

Untangling should not require guessing the design

Trial the actual transport pack with every support, cord and ghost present. Decide whether the drops remain attached, are separated into compartments or are assembled by the buyer. Open the pack without first arranging the contents for a photograph. Check that each component can be identified and that the intended connection sequence can be followed without pulling one cord through another textile piece.

Use the unpacking review framework to document the sequence and any temporary restraints that must be removed. Quote the complete pack, component count and assembly scope together. Confirm minimum quantities and sample timing for the agreed construction before a seasonal launch commitment. If a larger mobile adds another ghost, review the entire drop map and pack rather than assuming that one extra component is the only change.

  • Count all components before and after the unpacking trial.
  • Review the full assembly again when adding a drop or changing support size.
Buyer checkpoint

Send FY Bedding a numbered top-and-front assembly drawing, intended display setting and supplied-component list. Request a fully hanging sample, connection details and a complete unpacking trial. Approve the drop map and installation scope together before placing the decorative mobile order.
